Daelian Engineering is a family business that built locomotives and locomotive spares for the mining industry, supplying to both national and international markets for more than 42 years.
In 1995 Daelian Engineering opened a Stainless Steel department making a wide range of stainless steel products, from "T-Tops" and wakeboard towers to ski poles and grab handles, for the marine industry.
In 2005 Daelian Engineering added custom made ballustrading to their Stainless Steel range.
In March 2006 the company, following a strong passion of the owners, decided to move in a different direction and purchased boat molds from a well known boat builder in Canada, opening the division Fairide Marine.
Fairide Marine launched their first Sport boats , Avalanche 170 and 190, at the ABSA National Boat Show in August 2006. The Avalanche 170 and 190 are built to a high standard and quality, following the same practises and guidelines as the Canadian factory., thus delivering international quality boats to the South African local market.
In 2007 Fairide Marine designed and built a 25 ft inboard Avalanche and introduced this outstanding vessel into the market place, the boat was very well complemented by all.
The year 2008 brought new goals for the company by launching their new 23 ft outboard bowrider.
